Terms of use — Legalix connector
Last updated: October 2026. These terms apply when you use Legalix through Claude, ChatGPT or another AI assistant (the "connector"). They add to the Legalix terms of service, which govern your Legalix account; if the two differ about the connector, these terms apply.
1. Who may use it
The connector is for lawyers, legal teams and other professionals aged 18 or over, using it for their work. Connecting signs you in to a Legalix account, or creates one, and every action runs in that account's office.
2. Not legal advice
Legalix is not a law firm and does not give legal advice. Research answers, drafted documents and calculations are working drafts for a qualified lawyer to review. AI-generated content can be wrong or incomplete — including citations — and you are responsible for checking it before relying on it, filing it or sending it to anyone.
3. Your AI assistant
Your assistant (for example Claude by Anthropic or ChatGPT by OpenAI) is a separate service under its own terms. It decides when to call a Legalix tool and what to send; Legalix acts on those calls as if you made them. Legalix is not responsible for the assistant's own output or for how it handles your conversation.
4. Your content
You keep all rights in the files and information you add. You allow Legalix to process them only to provide the connector, as described in the privacy notice. You confirm that you are entitled to upload them, including documents about your clients and other people.
5. Acceptable use
- Use the connector only for lawful purposes and only with data you are allowed to use.
- Do not try to reach another office's data, get around plan limits, or overload or probe the service.
- Do not use Legalix's documents, templates or rules to build a competing product.
6. Plans and credits
Some tools depend on your Legalix plan, and some actions use credits. The connector tells you when an action isn't covered; plans and payments are handled under the Legalix terms of service, outside the AI assistant.
7. Availability and changes
We work to keep the connector available and accurate, but it is provided "as is". We may change, add or remove tools; we will keep the documentation current.
8. Ending use
You can disconnect Legalix in your assistant's settings at any time. We may suspend access that breaches these terms. Your Legalix account and its data are handled under the Legalix terms of service and the privacy notice.
9. Liability and law
The limitation of liability, governing law (the laws of the State of Israel) and jurisdiction (the competent courts of Tel Aviv-Jaffa) in the Legalix terms of service apply to the connector.
